Photographer and explorer Filip Kulisev, Master QEP, FBIPP, is a respected and world-famous Slovak photographer. In 2001, he founded “Amazing Planet,“ a company which specialises in the creation of exclusive interior pictures, calendars, books and DVDs. Filip has also provided material for more than 180 individual exhibitions in Slovakia and around the world, including in Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Brussels, Sydney, Atlanta, Washington, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Monaco, Rome, Moscow and Malta. Filip’s permanent open air exhibit can be seen in the Caribbean island of Salt Cay.

Filip Kulisev’s work and publications are part of the collections of honourable personalities around the world, including Pope Francis, His Royal Highness Prince Charles, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Slovak President Andrej Kiska, former Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič, and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In addition, artists and Academy Award (Oscar) winners like composer Hans Zimmer, director Luc Jacquet, and actor Will Smith also possess Filip’s work.

Filip Kulisev’s international recognition was attained by his ability to capture spectacular landscapes on all continents in a technically-impeccable form, composed with a sense of balance and interplay of shadow and light. His acute sense of detail was rewarded by various international prizes. In November 2010, Filip was awarded and received the “Master QEP“ title for his nature photography work, an honor presented to only two photographers in the world. The title of Master QEP (Qualified European Professional Photographer) is the highest qualification award in Europe, which is reserved for professional photographers who have shown impressive skills in their work. According to the international QEP jury, Filip reached an “exceptionally high standard, demonstrating exceptional technical and artistic excellence within the image making profession.”

In January 2012, Filip became the first photographer from Central and Eastern Europe to be awarded the highest qualification and
title of Fellow (FBIPP) from the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP) in London. The esteemed qualification shows that he has exhibited distinguished and exceptional ability and creativity in his craft. Filip is the youngest Fellow and only the third landscape photographer in the world to be so honoured.

Filip is the author of six exclusive monographs. The first one was published in 2006. His second monograph, 100 Wonders, released in 2009, was met with significant attention worldwide. In it, he presented 100 of the most beautiful places in the world and showed that, despite the expansion of human activity, there are still untouched sites worth protecting for future generations. As one of his supporters, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, stated, “Through the beauty and purity of his images, Filip Kulisev gives substance to those treasures we all too often ignore and that may disappear tomorrow as a result of our reprehensible inaction. I am certain it makes a significant contribution to alert all people of goodwill to the state of our Earth. I know its lights will give others the permission to shine.” At the end of 2010, his third book, Amazing Planet, was released. This publication is an extended version of “100 Wonders“ and introduces 111 of the most amazing spots on Earth, including sites on all continents, with a diversity of landscapes – from glaciers, mountain lakes, deserts, oceans, and canyons, to nearly inaccessible places found in national parks throughout the world. This unique 624-page monograph features more than 500 pictures on various formats, including maps, and is translated into 15 different languages. Filip’s next book, ZOOM, based on stories about Filip’s unique travel and photography experiences, was released in 2012. After the impressive success of Terre magique (Amazing Planet) released in 2013, an updated version on the French market, and it is now available under the title, “La grande livre des Terres fascinantes.” After the success of ZOOM next book ZOOM 2 released in autumn 2014.

Filip Kulisev, Master QEP, FBIPP is also the Founder of the Association of Professional Photographers of Slovak Republic (APFSR).
He became European Landscape Photographer of the year 2012.
