“Sidewalk is a an almost 2 year project, since I moved to the USA from Israel on the artist visa, developing my career as a photographer and visual artist. I decided to constantly take photos of where I will walk in this country, and remember the journey through it’s sidewalks as a visual diary. Through this images I looked at American symbols, consumption cloture, relationships to guns, the visuality of generic places like in the signless picture of the fast food restaurant, sub cultures like the Amish, or the food habits in the sidewalks of NYC. Some of the reflections from the sidewalks are even more symbolic, like the picture of the 4th of July celebration in Long Island, where the people are facing the camera with the all American T-shirts by Old Navy.”
